In Our Shoes:

With the new fall season approaching, and Fashion Week in full swing, everyone is swapping out light, breezy materials and colors for richer, warmer tones. Shoebuy is certainly not adorned with a red carpet and we’re definitely not revamping our plush corner offices, cubicles or desks to turn this place into Bryant Park anytime soon but Chief Merchandising Officer Trisha definitely adds some sugar and spice to our modest corporate backdrop. As she walks down the office aisles to get her morning cup of coffee, we all appreciate her inspiration (and guidance) on how to make this key wardrobe transition.

If you had to describe your personal style in one word or phrase what would it be?

“I think I’m pretty bohemian but I can be a bit of a chameleon. Some days I’m preppy the next I’m trendy, it’s never the same look twice with me.”

What are your shoe wardrobe staples?

“Rockport shoes are the silent supreme. They have awesome quality, they last forever and they are just so comfortable all day and all night”

“I LOVE everything Lucky- their style is easily one of my favorites.”

“I bought these this summer. I just love the wedge; they make up the majority of my [extensive] high heel collection. These Joan & David’s are so fun and strappy yet still manage to be comfortable.”

“I enjoy running to keep in shape and these provide the stability I need.”

“The North Face is another brand I love. I really wanted to showcase the growing amount of merchandise we carry at Shoebuy. A lot of our customers don’t realize all that we have to offer outside of the shoe world.”

“I’d classify Toss Designs as a great boutique brand. The brand has great color combinations that are just so fun, so different, and such a blast- I could own many of their bags!”

If there were one inside tip you could give our customers what would it be? (Fashion related, Shoebuy related, anything)

“Like I mentioned before, really browse our entire site. We have a lot of merchandise beyond our shoe selection that you might not expect.”

Biggest shoe/fashion pet peeve?

“Nylons with sandals and nude nylons- they’re something that should just never ever be worn.”

Favorite thing about the Fall season?

“Breaking out my boots, all of them.”

Trend Watch: Do you prefer Booties or Clogs? Neither?

“Absolutely no booties for me, but clogs on the other hand, they’re smart shoes for your feet. You know there are fun ones out there, brands like Jack Rogers and Cape Clogs offer a collection of really cute options.

“ A beautiful , I mean really beautiful, pair of leather boots. But something different, like maybe one of Donald J Pliner’s masterpieces.”

Pumpkin or Apple pie?

“Apple pie is so vanilla, I’ll go with Peanut Butter Pie- love it.”
