Rock Hall of Fame Preserves Lady Gaga’s Meat Dress
You want fries with that?
Lady Gagas infamous meat dress, the one she wore to the 2010 MTV music awards last year, has been turned over to the Rock Hall of Fame, which will display the beefy (and controversial) garment to the public. The singer used it as a statement about not being just a piece of meat, which didnt exactly go over well with animal rights activists as well as other celebrities like Justin Bieber and Courtney Love.
Apparently during the process of processing the new exhibit, all the chemicals and drying agents used to preserve the outfit gave the meat a dark, jerky-like appearance, so it has been painted to look fresh.
Time Magazine named it the Best Fashion Statement of 2010, and the Rock Hall of Fame will unveil it as part of the Women Who Rock: Vision, Passion, Power exhibit, which runs until February 2012.
